The COP27 side event, Diving into Youth4Climate Solutions, aims to provide a comprehensive and engaging overview to follow-up on the Call for Solutions, launched by the Government of Italy and UNDP at the on 20 September 2022, in New York. The event will be an important occasion to reiterate the Youth4Climate strategic vision and next steps. It will illustrate the main conclusions emerged from the Youth4Climate: Powering Action flagship global event. Key partners, including multi-stakeholders and youth groups, will be involved in an interactive dialogue addressed to explain the needs for youth-led solutions on urban sustainability, energy, education, and food & agriculture. Furthermore, participants will discuss what in their opinion a successful solution should look like. The Youth4Climate initiative is aligned to the COP priorities. Given the setting, this side event will have strong focus on the Youth4Capacity program, youth engagement at COP27, and synergies with COP 28.

Youth4Climate: Powering Action will convene a flagship global event on 20 September 2022 in New York, on the margins of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

ACW 2022 runs from 29 August to 2 September in Gabon. Africa Climate Week 2022 engages and empowers stakeholders to drive climate action across countries, communities and economies. For more information, check out the dedicated website for Africa Climate Week 2022.

The Regional Climate Weeks move next to Africa Climate Week 2022, which will be held from 28 August to 2 September in Libreville, Gabon. Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week 2022 was recently held from 18 to 22 July in Santo Domingo. The year kicked off with the first-ever Middle East and North Africa Climate Week from 28 to 31 March in Dubai.ate-action/regional-climate-weeks

 LACCW 2022 was held from 18-22 July in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, marking a key step on the road to COP27 in Egypt in November. 

In the lead up to Youth4Climate: Powering Action global event in New York, a Youth4Climate: From Driving Ambition to Powering Action webinar was organized over two days (6 July and 20 July 2022) to: Present the Youth4Climate initiative to a variety of stakeholders, including Y4C participants, other young climate leaders active in their communities, youth networks, newcomers in the climate space, social enterprises, NGOs, academia and other partner organizations.  Share promising practices on the four areas of the Youth4Climate Manifesto: Youth Driving Ambition, Sustainable Recovery, Non-State Actors’ Engagement and Climate Conscious Society. Reflect on challenges and opportunities linked to implementation and provide peer-to-peer learning.
